SPOTLIGHT ON…

To celebrate the coming 1st birthday Vision Photography club, I thought I’d celebrate individual members.
So in the next few weeks I will be casting the spotlight of just some of them.

In this first part, lets look and celebrate the photos of one of our founding members….

BRIAN BATTENSBY.
A keen wildlife enthusiast, he often takes photographs of the local birds, so its fitting that the first pic he submitted to this website was this:

Brian also as a keen sense of humour. Check out this self portrait:

Brian has also organised a few club outings. The first of which was a great trip up to Dufftown where we visited the Glenfiddoch Distellery, Balvenie Castle and took the old diesel train to Keith and back:

Brian has proven to be an integral part of the Visions Photography Club and has  gotten us work photographing theatre groups, canoeing events and farmer’s markets. Which in turn gives our members experience and earned the club some donations from thankful organisations.

You can see more of Brian’s work at his dedicated website:

Brianbat Photography.

And why not check out the work and websites of our other members.

Nights, Nature, Festivities & Oz

Happy New Year to you all I hope 2012 brings many great oppertunities for great photos.
:)

However let me update you all on what we have been doing during the festive period.

Firstly we had our first Urban Night shoot on a very cold December evening.
However the freezing temperatures did not stop us from capturing, what I think is amongst the strongest photos we have produced.

We were really pleased to be asked to do some photography for the Oz On Ice panto.
This was a great challenge but I feel we rose to the task.

More photos from the event can be found at the official FLICKR page, click here to see them.

Our next club challenge was to take photos over the festive break.
